Minor The Dutch in the World

Practical information

  • The Dutch in the World includes seven courses, with a total of 48 ECTS
  • All courses are taught in the first semester of the academic year.
  • The minor can be seen as one cohesive programme, or subjects can be chosen separately
  • If you follow the minor as one cohesive programme, you will still need to make a selection from the available courses, since they total 48 ECTS and are all taught in one semester; a minor consists of 30 ECTS
  • All courses are in English and open to both Dutch and international (exchange) students in the second and third years of their Bachelor’s programme
  • Entry requirements for the subjects differ, but if necessary the different backgrounds of exchange students, Dutch students from the faculty of Arts and Dutch students of other faculties will be taken into account
  • The courses are taught in different ways, so that students have a variety of lectures and seminars, exams and papers
  • An excursion is part of most of the courses
